In 2003, the Université de Montréal Faculty of Nursing entered into partnership agreements to establish a chair in nursing research with the following organizations: Baxter, Tyco Médical Canada, Covidien, Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec, Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), and Fondation du CHUM. With the support of these organizations, of faculty alumni, and of other donors, the Research Chair in Innovative Nursing Practices was inaugurated in May 2006.
