Mission

The mission of the Research Chair in Innovative Nursing Practices is to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of nursing care. The Chair intends to accomplish this by:

• developing and evaluating innovative and effective models of nursing intervention;
• training graduate students to be researchers;
• disseminating and valorizing research results among various scientific and clinical groups, as well as decision-makers, with a view to enriching or renewing nursing care practices.

The target clientele consists mainly of people with a chronic health problem (e.g., HIV-AIDS, cancer, serious heart or kidney failure, diabetes), with complex healthcare needs, and requiring personalized continuous monitoring.
