During a special event held on may 16th 2017, the rector and the vice-rector of research, creation and innovation from the Université de Montréal paid tribute to the researchers who obtained awards, distinctions, professorships, major grants and those who made an outstanding contribution to innovation in Quebec during the last year. José Côté was honored at this event for having obtained the Prix Égalité Thérèse-Casgrain and the Prix Florence.
