UPDATED: Opening of the 6th SIDIIEF congress by José Côté
On June 1st 2015, José Côté gave the first conference of the 6th congress of Secrétariat international des infirmières et infirmiers de l’espace francophone (SIDIIEF). The congress was held in Montreal from May 30th to June 5th under the theme "Chronic diseases challenges: a call for nurse’s expertise”. José Côté’s conference addressed a reflection on the evolution of nursing in the prevention and management of chronic diseases.

The Perspective infirmière magazine devoted a special section to the 6th SIDIIEF congress in their September/October 2015 edition. In the article « Prévention : le rôle infirmier » (p.34) related to Ms. Côté’s conference, Lyse Savard, editor of the magazine, put emphasis on the importance of nurses in terms of prevention.
